Jacqueline Matter Leaving ABC7 on the Suncoast
Jacqueline Matter has announced that she is leaving ABC7. She has been with the station for nearly 5 years! She has developed a great and large following on the Suncoast. She will be greatly missed.

Life update: This week is my last week at ABC7 and it’s time to take the next step in my broadcasting journey.
After nearly five years on the Suncoast, it certainly is a tough goodbye. Growing up in the military I’ve never spent more than 2-3 years in one place and Sarasota will forever have a special place in my heart. It’s the place where I met the love of my life, the place I met a group of undeniably amazing friends who have become family, and most of all a place where I feel I blossomed and grew into who I am as a journalist. So many of you watched me with my start on the morning show, then supported me when I transitioned to evenings and many of you helped shape me into who I am today. For that, I thank you for your kindness and generosity over the years.
I am forever grateful for the connections I’ve made here on the Suncoast, with viewers and the organizations I’ve partnered with. The sense of community here is a special one and I’m forever grateful to have been a part of it.
My heart is so full and I’m very excited about the new journey ahead. I can’t wait to share what’s next – but until then, I hope you’ll join me for my last few newscasts on ABC7 at 4 pm and 7 pm the rest of this week.
