2023 Is Right Around the Corner! Take the Plunge for Charity in the Chilly Gulf Waters
It has been 15 years since the first Shamrock Shiver Charity Plunge. Clancy’s Irish Sports Pub in Bradenton, Florida is the organizer of this fabulous event.
As so many of our Florida neighborhoods go through rough times, determined members of the Bradenton community are “taking the plunge” to help less fortunate children of Manatee County. Sponsored by Clancy’s Irish Sports Pub & Grill, well known for its community fundraisers, volunteers will brave the chilly Gulf waters for donations from family, friends and local businesses.
The Shamrock Shiver event will take place on January 1, 2023, at noon on Bradenton Beach at Gulf Drive between 4th Street South and 12th Street South. 100% of the proceeds will fund Take Stock in Children of Manatee County, Feeding Empty Little Tummies, Healthy Teens Coalition of Manatee County, Inc., and Nutrition Initiative, all 501 (C) (3) not for profit organizations. To date, $362,284.00 has been raised!
A Post-Plunge Party will follow at Clancy’s, 6218 Cortez Road Wet, in Bradenton with door prizes and music by the Dr. Dave Band putting the “fun” in fundraising.
- 12 noon – Polar Plunge on Bradenton Beach (7th St South and Gulf Drive). Come gather from 11.30am to watch brave individuals enter the chilly waters, all for a good cause!
- The rest of the event takes place at Clancy’s Tiki Bar, 6218 Cortez Rd. West, with a silent auction throughout the afternoon
- 12.30-2.45pm – raffle tickets on sale with live music from the Dr. Dave Band
- 3pm – Raffle Draw
- 3.30pm – Silent Auction closes (must be present to pay and claim your items)
- 4pm – Live auction begins
