The Morean Arts Center invites you to our city-wide search for St. Pete’s MOST ARTISTIC CUPCAKES! Join the 12th Annual St. Pete Cupcake Contest on Saturday, August 26th, from 12 – 3pm. This decadent fundraising event features a variety of submissions categorized by youth/teen, novice, professional, and specialty (vegan or gluten-free). Sample a dozen different tasty treasures and vote on your favorite flavor. Pre-registered attendees will receive a 12-count box to fill with the mini-cupcakes of their choice and will vote for their favorite flavor to win the People’s Choice award.

Cupcakes will be judged on the originality of the cupcake, its taste/texture, and the artistic presentation of the contestant’s table. You can participate as a cupcake competition baker or a cupcake enjoyer.

Hours: August 26, 2023, 12 p.m. – 3 p.m.

Fridays are for family flicks! Start the new school year on a high note with a free outdoor showing of Vivo at our next Screen on the Green on Friday, August 25.

Showtime begins after sunset, around 8 p.m. Starting at 7 p.m., kids are invited to enjoy character meet & greets, complimentary face painting, onsite concessions, and more.

Screen on the Green is held on the fourth Friday of every month. Families and friends of all ages are invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Limited seating is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The outdoor movie experience is held on The Green at UTC, located directly across from Gifts & More at the Paper Store.
