Dubz BBQ
Dubz BBQ
4391 Aidan Lane, North Port, FL 34287
Dubz BBQ was established officially in 2020, but the passion for BBQ dates a lot further back. Dubz BBQ seasons the meats with secret recipes, and it is slow cooked to perfection using wood smokers to produce the perfect taste and smell that a BBQ can get. The staff thrives on serving the community with the best BBQ that they possibly can. The restaurant here on the Suncoast is cool, modern, and encourages a fun, laid, back environment. All of the Chefs on staff are experts in BBQ, which is evident in every bite. Come in and taste for yourself, and we bet you will come back time and again.
Hours: Daily from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Flora Imaginaria
Flora Imaginaria
1534 Mound St., Sarasota, FL 34236
Flora Imaginaria includes a total of 72 photographs produced over the past three decades here on the Suncoast. Works by celebrated artists such as Pedro Almodóvar, Valérie Belin, Daniel Gordon, Abelardo Morell, Vik Muniz, Viviane Sassen, and Martin Schoeller appear alongside compelling photographs by emerging artists. The photos may depict flowers found in the landscape or even the cityscape, or they may have been taken in studios in an effort to conjure original approaches. Some honor art history, while others take a gleefully subversive approach. “This colorful, wide-ranging overview pays homage to the flower’s perennial attraction and reminds us of the flower’s extraordinary endurance as an inspiring subject in art,” said FEP’s William A. Ewing, who co-curated the show with Danaé Panchaud. “Taken together, these photographs present a sumptuous bouquet in the exceptional setting of Marie Selby Botanical Gardens.”
Hours: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily from July 16 – September 25, 2022

Egmont Key Ferry
Egmont Key Ferry
Fort De Soto Boat Ramp
3500 Pinellas Bayway S, Tierra Verde, FL 33715
If you want to spend some time on a beautiful pristine island paradise, the ferry to Egmont Key State Park from Fort De Soto is a great choice for you and your family! Get ready for a day of fun in the sun with Hubbard’s Marina. The ferry ride to the island is about 25-30 minutes and offers great chances to spot dolphins, sea turtles, and sometimes even manatees! We often spot sea birds on the ride to and from Egmont Key Island aboard the Hubbard’s Ferry, our big blue boat. Once on the island, Egmont Key offers great shelling, swimming, and opportunities for adventures. Including Fort Dade, a fort that dates back to the Spanish-American war for exploring. Egmont Key is also home to a large population of endangered native gopher tortoises! Be sure to pack like you’re spending the day at the beach! Bring sunscreen, towels, bathing suits, protective hats, and shirts. Egmont Key is a pristine island, so come prepared with a cooler full of water, food, and drinks.
