Friday Fest here on the Suncoast is the free, outdoor summertime concert series that returns this year with an exciting lineup of bands who will bring the audience to their feet!

Bring blankets or lawn chairs, take in the music and the sunset, and enjoy food and beverage from local vendors! Please remember to bring in food, beverages, and coolers from outside is prohibited.

August Artist: TEN-76

TEN-76 is a powerhouse high-energy band that covers classic and modern rock. From the Lakewood Ranch home base, TEN-76 regularly plays many of the local venues and is expanding in the Southeast Region. They have volunteered their time and entertainment for charities (ex. Breast Cancer, Fire Victims, Veterans, First Responders, and Children in need) to help raise funds and awareness.

Jeremy Vincent opened this tropical oasis in the midst of the pandemic as a pop-up at the former Redfish Point restaurant. Following the instant popularity of the locale, Vincent decided to turn Jungle Bird into a permanent locale, taking over the Redfish space. There, he honors tiki culture traditions with authentic flavors and quality rums from around the world.

Hours: Tuesday through Saturday, 12 p.m. – 10 p.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.; Monday, 4 p.m. – 10 p.m.

The Calypso Queen, a 65-foot triple-decked ship, specifically designed for cruising in the Intracoastal waterways, offers casual sightseeing, luncheon, and dinner cruises. This colorfully appointed vessel, with a Caribbean theme, boasts 2 dining levels that are enclosed, air-conditioned, and contain guest seating. The third level is an open-air deck that serves a variety of functions and provides beautiful views of the passing waterfront. The vessel is complete with restrooms on both dining levels, two full-service bars, full-service galley, and state of the art sound system.

Come on out to beautiful Nathan Benderson Park here on the Suncoast to support over 200 special athletes from around the state in a host of stand-up paddle championships. This is an amazing lineup of the following events happening these two days:

  • Short Distance Events – 100M, 200M & 400M
  • Long Distance Events – 800M, 1600M, 3200M & 4800M
  • Traditional & Unified Relays – 3x100M, 3x200M, 3x400M

Hours: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. August 18 – 19th
