Fireworks on the Lake is coming back with a bang! All are invited to a sparkling celebration at Nathan Benderson Park on Wednesday, July 3. This year’s NBP Fireworks on the Lake, Driven by Lamborghini Sarasota, will feature live music by Twinkle & Rock Soul Radio, a Kids Zone presented by MOTE Marine, plenty of food trucks at the south end and Regatta Island, family-friendly activities, and a spectacular fireworks show around 9 p.m.

Those who prefer to watch the show from home can tune in to WWSB ABC 7 on Thursday, July 4, for a recorded Independence Day special starting at 9 p.m.

Los Chiludos Suncoast

Los Chiludos

Los Chiludos
3232 East Bay Dr., Holmes Beach, FL 34217

Jose was born in Mexico City, Mexico, and moved to Orange County, CA, at the age of 15. He has been in the restaurant industry since he was 17 and fell in love with the kitchen during his training as a restaurant manager. The dishes at Los Chiludos Fresh Mexican Grill here on the Suncoast incorporate traditional Mexican flavors with a fresh, healthier Southern California twist. He dreams of opening multiple locations with his wife and two sons.

Whether you want to enjoy your food at the restaurant or take out, there is no compromise in flavor or quality! Our food is always prepared fresh and never microwaved. If you are looking for authentic, amazing Mexican cuisine, this needs to be on your list of places to try.

Fireworks here on the Suncoast

Freedom – Fest & Fireworks in Laishley Park

Freedom – Fest & Fireworks in Laishley Park
100 E Retta Esplanade, Punta Gorda, FL 33950

The fishing pier, which has been used in the past to shoot the fireworks, is condemned due to damage from Hurricane Ian. It has not been repaired, requiring the show to be shot from 2 barges anchored in front of Laishley Park.

This festival here on the Suncoast is a celebration of the United States with nonstop entertainment for the entire family. This year’s event features Water-Mania, a group of 12 giant waterslides located in Laishley Park. There will be slides of all types and sizes for all ages. In addition to the Water-Mania water slides, there will be a large Kid’s Fun Zone with plenty to keep the young ones excited throughout the day and evening. Vendors, displays, and unique shopping opportunities await as the park will be filled with booths just waiting for attendees to visit. There will also be plenty of fun festival food, cold beer, and beverages with live music throughout the day.

Hours: Saturday, June 29, 2024, 12 p.m. – 10 p.m.
