Check out the competition May 28 – 30th at Nathan Benderson, on the water. The NCAA Rowing Championships are coming to Sarasota, FL, on the scenic water in this amazing location. Check it out as this elite championship returns to one of the best settings in the United States. Nathan Benderson boasts natural attributes on the water, and the serene setting surrounds the water that makes this a world-class rowing and recreational facility, with that on full display for this amazing event. Social distancing in some areas, masks, and other requirements for watching will be in place, so check out the website, and come out to cheer some amazing athletes on this weekend.

SRQ Vets will be hosting their 6th annual Memorial 5K hike in memory of fallen servicemen and women. The event will benefit the SRQ vets, a 100% volunteer, a nonprofit whose mission is to find resources for local veterans and their families. In addition to the hike starting on the beautiful bayfront, there will rock wall bungee jumping, BBQ, and music along with raffles and more. Bring the whole family out for fun and healthy bonding for a good cause this weekend here on the Suncoast.

Many of us are off on Memorial Day, so why not take in some amazing music that day. Snook Haven will be hosting a festival featuring Steve Arvey, Rooster & Broccoli; Tommy Z; Dottie Kelly, and wrap-up jam session with all musicians together. From blues to Americana, there is a little something for everyone. Come rain or shine this Memorial day; the show will go on. The first session is at 11:30 a.m., and you should come early as attendance will be limited to the first 600, without exception, that purchases tickets. Of course, there will be food, beverages and tons of fun to go around – see everyone there!
