After what has been an extremely trying year almost to the day since COVID closed the Sarasota Farmers Market, they are hosting an appreciation day this week. Saturday, March 27th, the market is open from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Blood donations vehicles will be onsite, special t-shirts and tote bags featuring the Design Contest Winners Michael White and Sheryl Vieira will be for sale and so much Farmers Market swag. You can always find your favorite local vendors of fruits, vegetables, various services, arts, and crafts. While shopping you show support for so many that continue to make the market what it has grown into despite the challenges faced by many in our community this year. For an amazing morning out shopping, walking, and enjoying the Suncoast weather – stop by for the Sarasota Farmers Market Appreciation Day this Saturday!

Musical Director James (Jim) Castaldi is getting the band together again, with all the professional performers, for another amazing time outside listening to music this weekend. Join them at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 28, 2021, at Cambier Park. The entire band’s mission is to promote, preserve and perform big band music for years to come. This amazing group of talent is sure to leave the crowd begging for more amazing tunes this weekend once again. Due to COVID restrictions like other performers, the Big Band has taken to outside venues to continue bringing amazing musical scores to fresh audiences during this trying time. There is no cost of attendance, but donations are always appreciated. Additionally, some restrictions are in place for the safety of all in attendance, and we recommend swinging by the website for details before heading out to the park. Happy listening!
