You don’t want to miss this musical that has gorgeous costumes, toe-tapping music, and fantastic choreography! THE WILL ROGERS FOLLIES stands out among musicals because of the magic of the story of this iconic American. Will Rogers’s tale captures his accomplishments, his philosophy, which espouses respect and confidence in the goodness of his fellow man, and his many talents. Winner of six Tony Awards in 1991, including Best Musical, this show is an upbeat celebration of this folk hero who made the world a whole lot better place than it was before he entered it.
Masks are optional at the performing arts center. Concessions are currently closed but you are welcome to bring bottled water to your performance. The show runs through March 27, 2022.

The downtown block party continues with ART ON THE BLOCK. Located on LEMON AVE between Main and First Streets, this arts-themed block party features dancing, free live entertainment, free signature party favors, free light bites, beverages al fresco, and more! The musical headliner is The Alan Grant Band, one of the city’s most rockin’ and talented blues/Americana/rock bands playing classics and originals. Also taking the stage will be two artists from The Players Centre performing a Janis Joplin tribute and more. Both The Alan Grant Band and the Player’s performances will provide a festive soundtrack to all the fun programming happening at street level.
Artists Brandon Thrift and Victoria Gomez Mayol will be doing live painting and letting event-goers see how they produce their beautiful works. Thrift is best known for his “Spread Love” paintings and murals that have since become a regional and national brand. Mayol produces colorful impressionist paintings that celebrate family, femininity, and Florida charm. Finally, ART ON THE BLOCK will feature circus performers mingling in the party, showing off an assortment of classic skills from juggling to stilts and helping turn Lemon Ave into the most creative event of the season. Join us from 7-10 p.m. and enjoy new sights and flavors from new vibrant downtown partners.
