Bring your family, bring your dogs, bring your friends, and bring your friends’ dogs to the Suncoast Walkathon on March 2, 2024 at Nathan Benderson Park! This free, family-friendly event includes a 3K walk and a dog-friendly party in the park featuring lively music, delicious food, vendor and sponsor booths, an exciting raffle drawing, and much more.

Walkathon is Southeastern Guide Dogs’ largest fundraiser of the year and proceeds help us breed, raise, train, and match our amazing dogs with people with vision loss, veterans with disabilities, and children who need a best friend. Whether you raise funds for our mission or simply bring your dog to the party in the park, we’ll see you at Walkathon!

Hours: March 2, 2024 9 am: Gates Open | 10 am: 3K Walk | 11:30 am: $1,000 Raffle Drawing

JB’s Corner Cafe here on the Suncoast was established in 2021, right before Hurricane Ian, by June and Brian. On the 21st of July 2023, Or and Karina Shlomo took over June and Brian. Or and Karina (Mom and Son) kept the menu the same and the same fresh ingredients, added new dishes to the menu, and even upgraded the level of JB’s Corner Cafe. Currently, at JB’s Corner Cafe, you can find freshly made Breakfast sandwiches and specialty Italian coffee. We look forward to see you soon!

Hours: Monday closed, Tuesday through Friday 7 a.m. – 4 p.m., Saturday/Sunday 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

For half a century, artists and art lovers from all parts of the country migrated annually to the Raymond James Gasparilla Festival of the Arts, where the country’s most accomplished artists and rising stars vie for the $15,000 Raymond James Best of Show Award and an additional $77,000 in prize money.

The March 2024 Festival will showcase artists and their work, including ceramic, digital, drawing, fiber, glass, jewelry, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, watercolor, and wood. This event will also feature the works of local young artists and a weekend full of live entertainment.

Hours: March 2-3, 2024, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

The 25th annual Southwest Florida Reading Festival is a free, all-ages outdoor event. Fans will have the opportunity to listen to and meet a diverse line-up of more than 25 bestselling authors, participate in contests and activities, and find the latest and greatest in books and library resources. In addition to author appearances and book signings, there will be arts and crafts, youth writing contests, and a free book for every child and teen!
