The 25th Annual Thunder By The Bay Music & Motorcycle Festival here on the Suncoast is a three-day event held Feb. 17-19, 2023, at the Sarasota Fairgrounds to benefit Suncoast Charities for Children. Bring your lawn chair and enjoy continuous live music. Featured headline acts include 38 Special (Saturday – February 18) and Colt Ford (Sunday – February 19).
The Festival features over 100 vendors, motorcycle freestyle shows, a charity motorcycle ride, 17 class bike show, a motorcycle stereo contest, a burnout contest, a “little riders” kid zone, great food, a “Born To Be Wild” Festival Kickoff Party, and much more! Full service and dry camping are available on-site. Admission is $10 in advance and $15 at the gate (12 and under free). Limited VIP tickets are now available.

Tera and Jose, the owners of Los Chiludos, began selling homemade salsas at local farmer’s markets. In 2008 they opened Los Chiludos in a small, inconspicuous building in Canonsburg, PA. Two years later, they expanded and moved into a larger building in a business park nearby. They became the #1 Mexican restaurant in Washington County, PA, and were consistently top 3 in Pittsburgh, PA.
In 2015 the Lemus family visited Anna Maria Island here on the Suncoast for the first time and fell in love with the area and the people. As soon as the opportunity presented itself for the family to relocate to the island, they moved and began construction for their new restaurant in March of 2022.
Everything is made fresh daily at Los Chiludos, and it is amazing Mexican right here in our community. Grab some on the way to the beach, your outdoor activities, or to end your work day on a high note.

American Youth Cup I Regatta

The first of four AYC regattas, this series is a not-for-profit series of regattas leading up to the USRowing Southeast Youth Championships. The series works to give back to the athletes, giving crews opportunities to experience competitive, 2000-meter racing throughout the spring, ultimately preparing them to excel at the USRowing Youth National Championships in June at NBP.
Competing well consistently at the AYC regattas helps crews prepare to qualify for the Youth National Championships and has the added bonus of a possible financial stipend towards their trip to the championships. At the end of the series, the team with the most points for an event is declared the AYC series winner for that event. A team will earn a monetary travel stipend towards their trip to the USRowing Youth National Championships should they be declared the winner of an event and qualify for Youth Nationals in that event.
