What’s On Suncoast? 10.18 – 10.25
In the face of adversity, the Suncoast of Florida shines brightest. After enduring the devastation of back-to-back hurricanes, our communities have shown remarkable strength, resilience, and unity. Neighbors helping neighbors, volunteers working tirelessly, and families rebuilding together—this is the true spirit of the Suncoast. From Sarasota to North Port, from Bradenton to Naples, we’re proving that no storm can break the bonds we share. Together, we rise stronger, rebuilding not just homes, but hope.
Here is a few updated posts from Facebook over the last week regarding businesses and events along the Suncoast.
From our friends at the Sarasota Manatee Originals:
Like you, we are heartbroken by the devastation caused by Hurricanes Helene and Milton on our beloved Suncoast. As we navigate the challenges ahead, let’s remember the strength and spirit of our community. Local restaurants are offering a warm and inviting space to gather, connect, and find solace. As they continue to provide essential services and support to our neighborhoods, we urge you to patronize these independent businesses. Your support can make a real difference in their recovery and in the heart of your community.
POSTPONED: Taste of The Bay Presented by Sarasota-Manatee Originals
Along with The Bay Sarasota, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the Taste of the Bay food festival, originally scheduled for Sunday, October 20th.
Our local restaurant community is resilient, and our immediate focus is on supporting them as they recover. We believe it is best to reschedule the event for a later date so our area can fully concentrate on healing.
We look forward to celebrating the culinary excellence of our locally owned and operated Gulf Coast restaurants at a rescheduled date.
We will provide updates on the rescheduled date as soon as possible.
Great News! Our Gulf Coast Restaurants are Back in Business!
Our area’s culinary gems are working tirelessly to reopen their doors and offer you delicious food and a warm welcome. Unfortunately, those situated along our barrier islands face a challenging and likely long journey to recovery, and we want to express our unwavering support and encouragement to them.

As we reflect on the challenges faced with rebuilding after these dual natural disasters, one thing is clear—the strength of the Suncoast communities is unshakable. Through the heartache and loss, we’ve witnessed an outpouring of compassion, kindness, and determination. Together, we’re not just rebuilding structures; we’re rebuilding lives, spirits, and futures. The storms may have tested us, but they also reminded us of the power of unity. With every brick laid and every hand extended, we are proving that, united, there’s nothing we cannot overcome. The Suncoast will shine again—brighter and stronger than ever.
