What’s On Suncoast? 1.29 – 2.5

The Suncoast Post asks, “What’s On, Suncoast?” Here are a few ideas for things to do around the area this week of January 29 – February 5, 2021!

Repticon Sarasota

What's On Repticon

Repticon Sarasota
Robarts Arena Sarasota Fairgrounds 3000 Ringling Blvd Sarasota Florida 34237

Not your normal Saturday event here in the Suncoast, but if you are wanting a creepy-crawly for the family, or just to take in some amazing animals from all over this event is not to be missed. What’s On this weekend is Repticon who puts on animal shows all over the country, and brings the best of pet products, experts and just a few must see exotics to the Suncoast this coming weekend. Right in the middle of Sarasota at the Robarts Arena, this is a must see for many that love their non-furry friends or maybe just for a up close and personal look at some reptiles you don’t normally see hanging out around these parts.

The Crepe Chef

What's On Crepes

The Crepe Chef
119 Tamiami Trail, Unit G Port Charlotte, FL 33953

Okay, close your eyes and imagine for a moment, fresh crepes made to order and stuffed with breakfast items, maybe an entire menu entree, or best of all, fruits and other dessert options. Yep, you know a chef loves what they do when they make it their entire business. If you haven’t had a chance to check out What’s On with this gem of a stop in Port Charlotte, it is well worth a little extra effort this weekend to get out and try something different. Your taste buds will thank you! See the entire Panda Bear dessert option (must check the menu for what that is) to create your own breakfast options. There is certainly something for everyone to enjoy. Oh, and just in case you need a small group catering – fresh crepes catered for your event – just saying! Happy Eating!

Everglades Day Safari

Everglades

Everglades Day Safari
11281 Summerlin Square Drive, Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931

Nope, we aren’t going to find lions and tigers and bears here on the Suncoast roaming about, but you will see a plethora of alligators, birds, and amazing vegetation. These guided tours start right here in Ft. Myers and can be half or full-day guided tours of some of the best-hidden treasures you probably don’t stop and take notice of in daily life. For a reprieve from traffic, and work this might be an option for kids, parents, or maybe a couple just looking to spend the day in a relaxing, fascinating new opportunity. The tour guides love what they do and are so knowledgeable as they navigate on foot, boat, or airboat through various ecosystems. Check out the website or Facebook today to see about this day trip option to change things up.

Tired of the Saturday Morning blahs, and not having much on the agenda to do – have you checked out a Saturday Morning Market at Al Lang Stadium lately? Despite, COVID forcing changes in mask, social distancing there is still entertainment, vendors and so much more going on over there each Saturday. Additionally, expansive open air areas for standing and eating outside have been setup for the safety and enjoyment of all patrons. This is definitely not your typical Farmers Market you attend on Saturday for fresh produce alone. Saturday Morning Market is a feast for the eyes and senses, while shopping local vendors.
