Lingr Restaurant

Lingr Restaurant
400 6th St. S Saint Petersburg, FL 33701

Lingr means ‘belonging to,’ and ‘coming or descending from’ — well-expressed definitions for the first solo venture of Chef Jeffrey Jew. Located in the Downtown South University Park area of St. Petersburg, the Nordic and Asian-inspired restaurant is a mixture of Chef Jew’s love of the local area, his heritage and years of culinary experience.

Chef Jew is an alumnus of Bravo’s “Top Chef,” a winner of Food Network’s “Guy’s Grocery Games,” and known to locals most recently as Executive Chef at Bella Brava and Stillwaters Tavern of 2B Hospitality. The menu he has developed for Lingr includes culinary traditions of his Norwegian and Asian heritage mixed with contemporary flair. Lingr offers something for everyone. Sustainable and locally sourced ingredients for the menu creations are harmonized with craft beers, cocktails, and an extensive wine selection.

Next to Normal on Suncoast

Next to Normal

Next to Normal
Manatee Performing Arts Center – 502 Third Avenue West, Bradenton, FL 34205

An unflinching look at a suburban family struggling with the effects of mental illness. Next to Normal is an emotional powerhouse that addresses such issues as grieving a loss, ethics in modern psychiatry, and suburban life. It takes audiences into the minds and hearts of each character, presenting their family‘s story with love, sympathy, and heart.

Sometimes what we see is a lie. Diana looks like a typical suburban mother with a husband and two kids. However, at first glance, we do not see that she has some serious mental illnesses, bipolar disorder and depression. Next to Normal follows Diana as she tries to handle her illness, how it affects her family, and what‘s left standing.
