Big Ship Music Festival

Hosted by Freddie McGregor! This is the first Big Ship Festival and Freddie McGregor, Marcia Griffith, Admiral Tibet, Chino, Glen Washington and more are bringing some great music to Port Charlotte. The Code Red Band is backing them up. This is fun! $35 online or $40 at the gate. There will be food and drinks on sale. Gates open at 6pm, show starts at 8pm.

Think+Drink/Science: The Legacy of Apollo 11

The speaker is Gary Dahike of NASA, winner of the prestigious “NASA Inspire” award. Grab a glass of beer, wine or a soft drink and learn while in a relaxed and informal space. Mr. Dahike will give a short presentation and then the floor is open for your questions and discussion. Cost is $5 for members, $8 for others. You should register as seating is limited.

Summer Fun Club: Pirate Adventure with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

This is an introductory class to learn more about how honey is produced. Hosted by UF IFAS Extension Sarasota County. They warn that classes may be canceled at any time due to low registration or other circumstances, so check to make sure it’s going to be held before you go.

Sophisticated Lady: Songbook of Natalie Cole
