Every week we hope to entice you to go out and do something fun in the area. Maybe you’ll see something you never thought you’d try, but now you think you might! This area of Florida is filled with interesting things to do and see and experience. Get out there and do it!

Bradenton Riverwalk Main Lawn Amphitheater and Palmetto West Side Green Bridge. Regatta Pointe. And, of course, Manatee River East and West Sides of the Green Bridge.

This is a free, family event! There’s a fishing tourney for kids, dog shows, flyboard champs, family fun zone, lots of music, Formula -2 and 3 Powerboat Races, and to top it off a Zambelli Fireworks Spectacular! Check it out on their  website event schedule.

This is a fund raiser for improving Activities in the Memory Care unit at Water’s Edge. It’s in the auditorium on the second floor of Town Center. Come in anytime between 5-8pm and get an empty box after you give them $10 for a ticket. You take your box to all the vendors who will fill it with samples as you check them off the sheet. You will vote on the best chocolate sample and most creative use of chocolate. Winners will be posted on their FB page. Hosted by Florida Institute for Salwater Heritage which is also teaching on the loading docks at Cortez Bait and Seafood about local fishermen at 10am both days. There will be great live music, fabulous fresh seafood, local artisan vendors and a great time of fun! The proceeds will benefit The Florida Institute for Saltwater Heritage (a local all-volunteer non-profit) to help preserve this way of life. For more on the event  click here
