So, what makes a good restaurant GM? Someone who maintains high standards for the restaurant in food prep and delivery to the customer, keeps everyone safe, encourages the staff to do the best they can, AND makes money for the company.
Betsy Plante, President of The Blessing Bags Project (story on sarasotapost.com), was first introduced to Sande through a mutual friend, Bob Slicker. Sande was a guest at their Breakfast with Santa Kids Christmas Party and was impressed by what he saw. He knew immediately he wanted to help, so he and Betsy met soon after to discuss redesigning the Blessing Bags website.
The second week in September is always an exciting time at the Swordfish Grill & Tiki in Cortez, FL. The annual “Giving Back” charity event takes place and every year is a sell-out. This year we are pleased to announce that Healthy Teens Coalition of Manatee County has been chosen as the recipient for the 2019 event.
Bob Slicker, Katrina Cox and the crew of The Swordfish Grill & Tiki in Cortez have done it again! Everyone that came, children and parents and volunteers, had a huge breakfast of bacon, sausage, eggs, french toast and pancakes with syrup and more! Children were seen running around with lovely pictures painted on their faces and smiles from ear to ear! They all went out to the patio area and lined up in anticipation of the arrival of St. Nick. They did not have to wait long. Captain Lance brought Santa and his elves to the restaurant in the boat The Eddy Lee Z. The children were so excited to see him! Santa came in and his elves helped him to see each child and give them their presents and talk to them for a few minutes.
