What We Know About the Re-Opening of The Cortez Kitchen
If you attended the 11th annual Cortez Stone Crab and Music Festival, you know what I’m talking about. You had a chance to hang out at the soon to re-open Cortez Kitchen! It wasn’t until the very last minute that John Banyas, owner of the Cortez Kitchen decided to let everyone have a look.
And, oh what a look it was. There were great exotic drinks served in open-ended Coconuts, delicious Pulled Pork sandwiches and Busch was the beer of the day. And, to top it off there was some great live music. The word of the day to describe the Kitchen was “awesome.” It was old meeting new.

The vibe at the newly renovated Kitchen is something very special. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful team in Cortez who worked for months to get this cherished establishment looking so spiffy.
So, when will there be an official re-opening? My secret sources tell me that there is still some work to do, and it won’t be rushed. My guess? I’ll keep that to myself.
What about the menu? Well, I can tell you that there will definitely be fresh local seafood, crispy stuff, grilled stuff, special rolls, greens, char broiled, and other very unique items.

Much more information to come. Read the Suncoast Post and you will be the first to know…. After me!
