“Ukraine Relief Fund” Put into Motion by The Blessing Bags Project
The Blessing Bags Project has started a “Ukraine Refugee Relief Fund” for Manatee and Sarasota counties. Once refugees are placed here, they will be able to fill out an application for help with food, clothing, school uniforms, hygiene items, etc.
Displaced families will align with our mission statement. “We provide basic, critical needs to the homeless and less fortunate.”
The Blessing Bags Project has helped refugees from Haiti and other countries in the past. It is especially heart breaking to see children with fright in their eyes. Families are brought here with nothing, and we want to provide that glimpse of hope to them.

The organization has announced that 100% of the proceeds from this year’s Giving Challenge, to be held on April 26th, will go towards the relief fund.
They will have an East and a West location you can attend.
EAST location will be a Pop-Up Event with six non-profits coming together. From 12- 7 PM, there will be music, food trucks, Loaded Cannon Distillery, animal meet and greet, cooking demonstrations, and a children’s coloring area.
