Coming Together for a Cause: Clancy’s, 88 Live, Swordfish Grill, Sande Caplin & Associates and The Suncoast Post Unite for “Giving Back” Benefit on October 20th.

On October 20, 2025, the Suncoast community will rally together for a powerful evening of Compassion, Music, and Unity during the 10th annual “Giving Back” Benefit, hosted by Swordfish Grill & Tiki, The Suncoast Post and Sande Caplin & Associates.  The music sponsors for the event are Clancy’s Irish Sports Pub and 88 Live Piano Bar. This year’s event holds profound meaning, as all proceeds will go to Charlee and Nova’s Florida 529 Education Fund, two young girls who tragically lost their mother in a drunk driving accident late last year.

These three beloved local venues—Clancy’s, 88 Live, and Swordfish Grill—have something unique in common: they aren’t just bars or restaurants, they’re gathering places. They are the places where locals meet for music, food, laughter, and memories. They’ve each built reputations as more than just businesses; they are the heartbeats of their communities.

Clancy’s Irish Sports Pub, located in Bradenton, is known for its high-energy atmosphere, friendly staff, and a calendar packed with live music, trivia, and charity events. A staple on Cortez Road for years, Clancy’s has hosted dozens of community-driven fundraisers, always stepping up when neighbors are in need.

Just a few blocks away, 88 Live Piano Bar offers a different kind of vibe—sophisticated yet casual, vibrant yet intimate. Known for its dueling piano shows, high-caliber musicians, and electric ambiance, 88 Live is also no stranger to hosting benefits and giving back to those facing hard times.

Further west in the fishing village of Cortez, Swordfish Grill serves up fresh seafood, spectacular waterfront views, and an unmatched sense of community. The restaurant has built a reputation as a champion of local causes, especially those tied to family, children, and the local fishing community.

Together, these three venues—each unique in style but united in spirit—are coming together in collaboration with Sande Caplin & Associates, a digital media company dedicated to uplifting small businesses and nonprofits across the region. The company also powers The Suncoast Post, a widely read online publication that shines a light on meaningful stories from the Gulf Coast, from restaurant openings to inspiring tales of resilience and recovery.

This year’s “Giving Back” event is especially poignant. Charlee and Nova are not just names on a flyer, they’re real kids, facing an unimaginable loss. Their mom, Sara, was known as a joyful, loving presence in her community. Her tragic death has left a void that only love, community, and support can help fill.

The October 20th event will feature live music by Kettle of Fish with special guest, Tim “TC” Chandler, food and drink specials, raffles, and silent auctions. This night will be a true celebration of what makes the Suncoast special, people coming together for the greater good.

Only 200 Tickets will be sold for this event.  Please purchase your tickets today.  If you cannot attend, you can also make a monetary donation.
