With 113 days until Nathan Benderson Park welcomes 1,700 elite rowers from around the world, the 2017 World Rowing Championships Host Committee announced today that single-day tickets are now available for purchase. The announcement came during an event at The Mall at University Town Center (UTC) in Sarasota County, Florida. Since September 23rd of last year, only multi-day packages have been available for General Admission, Grandstand seating, Beach Seats and the Pavilion.
“The response has been overwhelming, with hundreds of those packages sold to residents throughout the region, the state, the nation and the world. We expect to see an even greater demand now that daily options are available,” said Meredith Scerba, the executive director of the 2017 World Rowing Championships. More than 40,000 spectators are expected to attend the world-class regatta in SarasotaBradenton, Florida from September 23-October 1.
In addition, Jeramy Burkinshaw, the general manager of The Mall at UTC, announced that the tickets are available for purchase inside the state-of-the-art shopping venue.
“Events like the World Rowing Championships provide an opportunity to showcase the Sarasota-Manatee community to the world,” said Burkinshaw. “Like many businesses in this area, we’re excited to welcome the athletes, volunteers and visitors and look forward to complementing the festivities with incredible shopping, dining and entertainment.” The Mall at UTC will offer easy access to purchase a variety of event passes at its Customer Service desk located on the Lower Level near Grand Court. Credit Card payment methods will be accepted and tickets are available for purchase during mall operating hours. More information is also available on the shopping center’s website, MallatUTC.com.
