The 13th annual Clancy’s Shamrock Shiver Charity Plunge was a huge success. The event held every New Year’s Day brought out lots of folks to Bradenton Beach who loved running into the water for the charity. The weather was perfect for the brave folks who jumped in.
The proceeds from the event goes to various organizations throughout Sarasota and Manatee Counties.
The entire team at Clancy’s Irish Sports Pub worked so hard to make the event successful. This year, another record was broken as over $30,000.00 was raised! Absolutely fabulous. This year 100% of the proceeds will fund The Blessing Bags Project, Feeding Empty Little Tummies, Healthy Teens Coalition of Manatee County, Inc., and Parenting Matters Charities, all 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organizations.
More About the Shamrock Shiver Charity Plunge
From Rayma Stowe, owner of Clancy’s Irish Sports Pub: We had 67 plungers signed up before the event. I would say approximately 100 ventured into the chilly waters of the Gulf of Mexico. (Giggles considering where you are ~ hope you had a fabulous time w/ your family). The costume contest was a hit. This year’s winner was a group effort. ” Good Riddance to 2020″ consisted of Shona Labaff, Patti Gritz, Mark Gritz and Robert Nott. They consisted of a roll of toilet paper, a bottle of sanitizer, and an emoji of poop.
This was our best year. We raised a little over $30,000.00. On behalf of all of us at Clancy’s, I would like to say just how incredibly humbled and grateful we all are to each and every one of you. The wonderful support you showed for our 13th annual Shamrock Shiver couldn’t have come at a better time for the less fortunate children here in Manatee county. We are still accepting donations at Clancy’s Irish Sports Pub, 6218 Cortez Road West, Bradenton, Florida 34210.
