Register Today for Sarasota Film Festival’s Summer Film Camps!
Wow! An exclusive opportunity for you to reserve spots for 2018 summer film camps sponsored by the Sarasota Film Festival! SFF’s unique camp program is taught by industry professionals with years of experience working on Hollywood films and international commercials. They will teach the kids aged 7-17 the ins and outs of creating amazing videos and films.
Young filmmakers will learn in a fun, conservatory model where each student will get to experience different film-related professions during the week, being a writer, production designer, editor, cinematographer, director, producer, and actor. The students will also truly understand the value of teamwork and collaboration.
Every week of the camp will feature a different theme, which will be used to inspire the created short films and videos. The finished projects will have a screening for family and friends at the end of each week.
Here’s a list of themes by week:
June 4 – 8 (“Spielberg” week – adventure)
June 11 – 15 (“Hitchcock” week – thriller)
June 18 – 22 (YouTube week – online videos)
June 25 – 29 (“Star Wars” week – science fiction)
July 9 – 13 (“Kurosawa” week – art house)
They are offering both half day and full day options. Half days (9am-12pm) feature film production. The full day (9am-3pm) includes film production, as well as general film education in the second part of the day when we will be watching film classics from around the world and learning film history and analysis.
