We are collecting donations for our friends and fellow commercial fishermen in Everglades City and Chokoloskee who took a direct hit from Hurricane Irma last week. The storm surge flooded every structure in the town. FEMA arrived finally on Friday, so immediate food and water needs are not AS dire. What is dire at this point is mold. Overflowing septic and sewage. No power. Debris and downed trees. Standing water. Mosquitoes and now infected bites.
We will be collecting the following items to take down on Wednesday: PLEASE let’s stick to the list of what they need, we want to be as helpful as possible, not take them a bunch of stuff they don’t need right now. We will be making runs to them as their needs change moving forward
