This story is a reprint from the Minnie’s Beach Café Facebook Page.
Good Morning everyone. We at Minnie’s Beach Cafe are doing all in our power to remain open. I’m going to be frank. Yes, we received the payroll protection loan, that went for payroll. There were no “leftovers” for anything else. It was all used to keep our employees paid, unfortunately, none of us expected this to go on this long, that money is now a distant memory!
We also applied for and received a small business loan thru the SBA, that was for the losses for March and April. So, we are now at a point where we are forced to carry the restaurant on our sales only. This time of year is historically already the slowest time of year, with the pandemic, it has come to a stop. We need you. Don’t forget we will bring your “to go” to your car, just let them know when you order.
Still have tables far from each other, as well as tables outside. We will even dance for you! (No pole dancing though). Yup, I am begging. Without your help, we simply will not make it!! Though we are cash only, to keep our prices as low as possible, we will accept a check, with proper identification.
In our wildest dreams/nightmares we never thought it would come to this. Our restaurant has been in uninterrupted service for nearly fifty years, we do not want to be the ones to pull the plug! Anything you want to see on our menu? Speak up!
You have our futures in your hands and will do whatever it takes to keep you happy!
Thank you for taking the time to read our tale of woe. Kathy
