Hooters of Sarasota celebrated their 35th Anniversary with a party that included a Hooters Calendar signing and check presentation on November 2. One of the highlights of the event included a check presentation from Sarasota nonprofit Local 7433 to support the restaurant’s fundraising efforts for breast cancer research.  Representatives from Local 7433 presented a $7,500 donation to the Kelly Jo Dowd Breast Cancer Research Fund benefiting the V Foundation for Cancer Research.

In addition to the check presentation, the event included all-day dining deals, and Sarasota Hooters Girls Alum were treated to a free meal as part of the anniversary celebration.  There was also a 35th anniversary cake for attendees to enjoy.  Congratulations to Dave Boren who won the giveaway of free wings for a year at Sarasota Hooters.

The event featured a calendar signing by the Sarasota Hooters Girls featured in the 2024 Hooters Calendar including “Miss January” Sarah Magda and “Miss June” Miya Vidales. This is the first time two employees from the same store have been selected as Feature Months in the Hooters Calendar.  Both Magda and Vidales work at Sarasota Hooters. Additional local calendar girls who will be at the Sarasota Anniversary Calendar signing are “Miss November” Grace Burchett who works at Naples Hooters and “December 2023 Feature” Alannah Friedman who works at Bradenton Hooters.

“We want to thank our community for joining us in the celebration of our 35th anniversary. We had a great turn out from our regular customers, Hooters Girl Alumni and both former and current employees.  We are also very proud to set a record and have two Hooters Girls who work at our store as feature months in this year’s calendar,” said Sarasota Hooters Managing Partner John Irwin.  Managing Partner John Irwin has been with Sarasota Hooters for 35 years so this anniversary is extra special for him as he was a part of the opening team in 1988. He also oversaw the move across the parking lot when the current mall was remodeled in 2000.
