Ladies Sing the Blues- Next Event!

Once every few months, the Sarasota/Bradenton area’s finest blues music performers get together and give a full-throttle performance to raise money to help local charities.  Every event is performed on behalf of a different charity, and the spirit of giving comes alive in the local talent that performs.

Ladies Sing the Blues was founded by Steve Arvey in 2011, to make the community aware of the amazing talent among women who sang, played, and dedicated themselves to following in the footsteps of Etta James, Janis Joplin, and Bonnie Raitt, just to mention a few.  The premier performance in 2011 at Ocean Blues, helped to raise money towards finding a cure for Breast Cancer.  The event was a huge success and a substantial donation was raised.

Sarasotapost.com is pleased to announce that the next “Ladies Sing the Blues” event will be March 26 at Primo Ristorante at 6pm.  The event will help to provide grants and scholarships for the American Business Women’s Association.
