Hurricane Laura

Hurricane Laura Relief Fund, Please….Your Help is Desperately Needed

| Sande Caplin |

The state of Louisiana, and especially the city of Lake Charles has been devastated by Hurricane Laura.  The folks there are desperate for our help.  The wonderful team at the Swordfish Grill and Tiki in Cortez, FL and the Blessing Bags Project are working together to raise money and are collecting items that are needed to get these wonderful people back on their feet.  These items will be delivered on Tuesday, September 8.  It is about a 15-hour drive.  The items will be dropped off at Waters Edge Gathering Church in Lake Charles and from there they will be distributed where needed the most.

So, come on friends and let’s do it again and help people that are in need.  Drop off your items today.   They are receiving the items at the overflow parking for Swordfish Grill & Tiki; it’s on your right as you are heading down 119th Street towards the restaurant, just look for the tents and the banner! They are collecting donations daily through Saturday, September 5th from 8:00 AM to noon!

Again, your support for those impacted by Hurricane Laura is greatly needed.  Sarasota and Manatee Counties have always stepped up to the plate to help and now is the time.  Our area could very easily be the next to get hit by a hurricane.  Blessings and thank you to everyone.
