Help Naples Hooters Collect Teddy Bears to Comfort Abused and Underprivileged Children
Naples Hooters is taking part in their annual teddy bear and book drive from November 28 until December 19 for the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collier County. The books and bears initiative was started nine years ago by the restaurant after learning from the center about the volatility these children experience and their need for something to hold to provide comfort to them through the holiday season.
The restaurant is asking the Naples community to come together to help make an impact. Guests are encouraged to bring new teddy bears and books or make a $10 monetary donation towards books and bears for the children. Hooters will have books and bears available at the restaurant. All funds raised will go towards Naples Hooters’ efforts of providing books and bears to the children for the holidays.

This cause has spoken to the restaurant employees’ hearts. Jaimee Howes, who works at Naples Hooters, has been one of the employees taking part in this collection since the start. “It’s not only the children who benefit each year. Watching our community come together to raise money for the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collier County has been a transformative experience for many of our Hooters girls, inspiring more philanthropic community initiatives and involvement. I was fortunate enough to present previous donation checks to the staff of the CAC and was met with tears of joy. You can see how appreciative they are on behalf of these kids,” said Jaimee Howes.
Over the past eight years, Naples Hooters has donated over $85,500 to the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collier County. This year’s event is sponsored by Kitchens by Clay, owned by Clay Cox, a regular customer at the restaurant, and J.C. Drainfield.
Children’s Advocacy Center of Collier County exists to improve the lives of abused children. Representatives from the Naples Hooters location will be presenting the books, bears, and this year’s donation to several representatives from the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collier County on Saturday, December 20.
“Naples Hooters has an annual holiday tradition of taking part in this very important and impactful initiative to help the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collier County and the many children they serve in our community. We truly appreciate everyone’s continued support year-round, including this holiday season,” said Hooters of South Florida Director of Marketing Kristi Quarles.
