Go Tonight Needs Your Help! Support Live Music in our Area

| Sande Caplin |

This story comes from the Go Tonight Go Fund Me Page.  We have added a few pieces of information  We do not want to lose this very reliable and needed source for Live Music in our area. There is really important information here.  By the way , when you donate…. there are some great gifts for you.  PLEASE  HELP.

GoTonight’s musical success (tens of thousands of happy users) is only skin deep on the back end. The system provides little support for our administration or community music activists, and ad sales cover only a fraction of our costs; it can’t be expanded to other cities, and even the simplest tasks (e.g., resetting passwords) require manual effort. A new system with the necessary technology, features and revenue is underway, but investors want to see it completed before funding, and we need help to get there.

Any donation helps spread local live music and feed more musicians!

“Music is therapy. Music moves people. It connects people in ways that no other medium can. It pulls heart strings. It acts as medicine.” – Macklemore

Our Story of Service and Hope

Music Fans in Tampa Bay and Suncoast Area Area: WE CAN MAKE IT WITH YOUR ASSISTANCE

Greg Stretch Gerdes, Sheree Cauffiel Engleharddt and Don McKeon

If you live in the Greater Tampa Bay and SunCoast area there is a good chance that you are one of the thousands of people who have used the free service to find music entertainment close to home. You may even be one of the many people who have expressed amazement that nothing like this exists in any other city in the nation. We have made this possible using our innovative “assisted crowdsourcing” approach, but hosting a useful website does not come without costs and is not sustainable without revenue.

“Never-say-die” and asking for help: Without a system that helps with administration, finance, sales and identifying gaps in our information, we are working seven days a week and not keeping up. And since advertising revenue covers only a fraction of our costs and the standard GoTonight service will remain free, reaching break-even requires new capabilities offered as paid premium services.

Catch 22: Investors have told us that we can be funded after we finish the new system and demonstrate more revenue and more cities. Limited by self-funding, we have worked for years with one or two part-time equity-only developers, and through sheer force of will have completed approximately 1/3 of the new system.

Funding is for development: Our only continuous “side-hobby” developer has just retired after 3 ½ years and the path for finishing the sophisticated nationwide system requires high-value development help. We are determined to become a nationwide organization with thousands of participants helping publish complete and accurate local live music information.
