“Giving Back” Charity Event at the Swordfish Grill- Overwhelming Success!
To say that the “Giving Back” Event at the Swordfish Grill & Tiki was an overwhelming success would be an understatement. It was a magnificent love fest. The sold-out crowd witnessed an event that will be hard to duplicate.
As you know, Charlee and Nova lost their mom last November 2. She was on her way home from work and was killed by a drunk driver.
The entire community has gotten together to support these girls. A tremendous amount of money was raised through ticket sales, raffles, auctions, and on-line donations. In fact, more money was raised by twice the amount of any prior “Giving Back” event at the Swordfish. Both girls now have Florida 529 Education accounts.
The event featured delicious hors d’oeuvres, fabulous drinks, wonderful music by Kettle of Fish with special guest, Tim “TC” Chandler and of course the girls were the stars of the evening.
The list of folks to thank is long! So many folks volunteered to help make the event a success and of course thank you to the gracious hosts and team at the Swordfish Grill & Tiki, and a big “thank you” to our music sponsors, Dana Rothgery from Clancy’s Irish Pub and Sherry, Scott and John from 88 Live Piano Bar.
