Give a Hoot Cornhole Tournament at Sarasota Hooters a Success

The Sarasota Hooters location hosted their “Give a Hoot” Cornhole Tournament to raise funds for the Kelly Jo Dowd Breast Cancer Research Fund on October 30th.  Congratulations to this year’s tournament winners Mark and Jimmy. The winner’s received a set of custom Hooters and Bud Light Cornhole Boards.  Local 7433 presents $5,000 donation to support restaurant’s efforts.

Sarasota Hooters Calendar Girls including Sloan Miavitz, Morgan Haggerty, Melissa Terry, Michelle Nguyen, Olivia Scott and Aria Slavin were some of the Hooters Girls at the event.  Sarasota nonprofit Local 7433 presented Hooters of Sarasota with their donation of $5,000 to support the restaurant’s fundraising efforts. 

“The South Florida Hooters locations have been holding fundraising events for local families to enjoy and while raising funds for breast cancer research throughout the entire month of October.  We are so appreciative of everyone who joined us for the Cornhole Tournament at Sarasota Hooters to raise funds for the Kelly Jo Dowd Breast Cancer Research Fund.  We are also very thankful for the donation from Local 7433 to support our efforts,” said LTP Director of Marketing Kristi Quarles.  Bud Light sponsored the Cornhole Tournament.  The Cornhole Tournament raised over $1,300.

The 2023 Hooters Calendar is now available at your local Hooters.  Sloan Miavitz from Sarasota Hooters is featured as “Miss May”. Miavitz is one of the 65 ladies in the calendar from the Sarasota, Bradenton, Southwest Florida and South Florida Hooters locations. Other ladies featured include “Miss March” Grace Burchett from Fort Myers Beach who after Hurricane Ian is now working at the Fort Myers Hooters locations and centerfold and 2022 Miss Hooters International Madison Novo who works at the Hialeah Hooters location.

The calendar is $14.99.  $1.00 of every calendar going to the Kelly Jo Dowd Breast Cancer Research Fund benefiting the V Foundation for Cancer Foundation Research.  Hooters has raised more than $8 million over time to support the fight against breast cancer, much of it through the Kelly Jo Dowd Breast Cancer Research Fund benefiting the V Foundation for Cancer Research.
