If you’re one of the thousands and thousands of kids and adults who received a drone for Christmas this year, the big question is “how do I fly this thing”? Don’t worry, you’re not alone. If you think you can just take the drone out of the box and start flying, you’re wrong!
For starters, drones need to be registered to the Federal Aviation Administration. They are legal for personal use, but for professionals, you need to be licensed. And, there is more. Flying a drone is a huge responsibility. You should not fly when there are people below the drone, you have to be a minimum of 5 miles from the closest airport and much much more.
There are quite a few rules when it comes to flying a drone and it does require a significant amount of skill to fly safely. Still want to fly? Well you can learn by yourself which can be tricky or you can take a flying lesson from a licensed drone pilot who is registered with the FAA.
Laura Adams and Jack Elka are licensed with the FAA and insured when flying. They are both offering drone flying lessons that will take you through the very basics of the drone to the more complicated stuff. Interested? Call 941 347-4500 for more information or email firstname.lastname@example.org
