Clancy’s Irish Sports Pub “Shamrock Shiver “ on New Years Day Is a Huge Success
New Years Day’s was a huge success thanks to Clancy’s Irish Sports Pub in Bradenton, Florida. It was the 16th annual Shamrock Shiver Charity Plunge at Bradenton Beach.
There were over 100 participants who raised money by pledging that they would run into the chilly waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
After the Shamrock Shiver plunge, festivities started back at Clancy’s with Dana Rothgery as the MC holding the live auction. They raised $36,015.00 between their pledges, live auction, silent auction, raffles & a 50/50 drawing bringing the total raised to date to over 16 years to $436,428.00.
This Year’s Shamrock Shiver Charities
All proceeds including sponsorship benefits go to F.E.L.T., (Feeding Empty Little Tummies) Healthy Teens Coalition, and Take Stock in Children of Manatee County….this year’s recipients. All are 501(c)3 not-for-profit organizations dedicated to helping disadvantaged children in Manatee County.
It was a great way to start out this tradition in the New Year. It’s all about supporting our community and giving back.
