Bradenton authorities close skatepark & splash pad but OK Riverwalk

From Realize Bradenton Facebook Page – Riverwalk OPEN, but the Skatepark and Splash Pad are NOT. Be sure to social distance while you stretch your legs and stay 6 feet apart!

From the Bradenton Police Department Facebook Page – Due to concerns over the spread of COVID-19, the Skatepark and Splash Pad along the Riverwalk are CLOSED until further notice. The Riverwalk remains OPEN – but PLEASE – follow all CDC guidelines and practice social distancing. #OneCityOneTeam

We can still walk the Riverwalk

Difficult times? Yes. We all have to figure out creative ways to stay positive and as they say, “think outside of the box.”

Laura Bell Adams went flying several weeks ago at the Bradenton Riverwalk which is a special gem in our town. There is a lot of open space, a great place to walk and you can keep your “social distance.” because, as you all know, that’s the new norm.

From the Realize Bradenton Website – As downtown Bradenton’s showpiece, the Riverwalk is a special place. Overlooking the Manatee River, the Riverwalk is a 1.5-mile, ADA-accessible.

So, since the Bradenton Riverwalk is open, go outside and get some fresh air. Take a walk and you can still stay safe by practicing social distancing staying 6 feet apart. Your dog would appreciate the different views as well as you.

Also, for more information about what is going on in our community, visit Realize Bradenton.com. A wonderful story about them was posted earlier this year here on The Suncoast Post.

Be safe everyone and make good choices.
