Bradenton Elks Celebrate 100 Years with Roaring ‘20s Gala
An Unforgettable Evening of Jazz, Joy, and Community Spirit
On Saturday, July 12, 2025, the Bradenton Elks Lodge #1511 proudly celebrated its 100th anniversary in grand style with a Roaring ‘20s-themed Gala at their historic lodge in Bradenton, Florida. The milestone event drew nearly 200 enthusiastic members and guests, many dressed to impress in flapper dresses, feathered headbands, suspenders, and fedoras that echoed the spirit of the Jazz Age.
The evening was nothing short of spectacular. Guests were welcomed into a beautifully decorated ballroom reminiscent of a 1920s speakeasy, complete with vintage-inspired décor, candlelit tables, a vintage Ford vehicle, and specialty Prohibition-era cocktails that set the tone for the night. A fabulous sit-down dinner was served by an attentive staff, featuring classic dishes and desserts that delighted every palate.
The highlight of the night was the live entertainment by The Jazz Phools, a talented group of local musicians who brought the house down with their energetic renditions of swing, Dixieland, and jazz standards. Their performance had the crowd on their feet, dancing the night away in celebration of a century of Elks fellowship, charity, and service to the Bradenton community.
Throughout the evening, guests captured unforgettable memories with photo ops that included vintage props and themed backdrops. Laughter and camaraderie filled the room, reflecting the strong sense of brotherhood and sisterhood that has defined the Bradenton Elks for the past 100 years.
Founded in 1925, Bradenton Elks Lodge #1511 is part of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, a national organization dedicated to community service, youth programs, veterans’ support, and charitable initiatives. Over the past century, the Bradenton lodge has made a lasting impact in Manatee County, contributing thousands of volunteer hours and donations to local causes.
The 100th Anniversary Gala was more than a celebration of the past — it was a vibrant reminder of the Elks’ continued commitment to making a difference. With a new century ahead, the Bradenton Elks are more dedicated than ever to building a stronger, more compassionate community.
