Billy Rice Performs Acoustic Duo At The Blue Rooster
The Blue Rooster will be hosting a Sarasota / Bradenton treasure on Tuesday, January 17 from 7-10pm. Billy Rice will be doing something a little different. He will be performing an “acoustic duo” with bass player, Al Marnie. If you heard Billy do acoustic at his video release party last November, than you know you are in for a real treat.
Come for dinner (reservations are strongly recommended) and enjoy some awesome music from Billy and Al.
From the Blue Rooster Website:
Billy Rice bought his first guitar from Sear’s & Roebuck and had a burning desire to play. Forming a band with some guys from school, he played his first professional performance at 14 years old. From there, it didn’t lake long for Billy to get a reputation as a great act.
Soon, Billy started getting bookings opening up for some national acts. He toured extensively throughout Florida and graced the stage with acts such as: Tommy James, The James Gang, Marshall Tucker, The Box Tops, The Turtles, Mama’s & Papa’s, Moody Blues and even Eric Clapton. At one point he did a weekly stint with the Outlaws every Friday night.
Now, better than ever, Billy’s playing a very busy schedule and has played with Toby Keith, John Michael Montgomery, Lonestar, Danny & Frankie Toler from the Allman Brothers, Ricky Lynn Greg from the band Head East, and Mark Chestnut.
