Betty Fox, An Early Father’s Day Present!

| Sande Caplin |

Betty Fox and her band put on quite a show last night at Ace’s Live in Bradenton, FL.  Before the show, Laura Adams, Vicky Sullivan and I had a chance to do a video interview with Ms. Fox upstairs at the venue.   We brought our special friend along, Hope Yencho who had never seen Betty before!

We were up close and very personal with the star!  I have seen her several times before, but last night I learned many things about Betty from the interview and have some personal impressions.  First of all, she is stunningly beautiful.  Her smile is a show stopper and she is amazingly intelligent.  We asked her questions about her personal life, her stage life and more.  Betty answered each question with deep feeling and sincerity.  I got the impression that she was having a lot of fun doing the interview and was totally comfortable.  There were lots of laughs and certainly a few tears.

Her show last night?  Well, what can I say…. The Betty Fox Band were at their absolute best.   She did many songs from her album, some new stuff and some great covers.  My 2 best songs last night?  Her rendition of “Crazy” written by Willie Nelson recorded by many artists most notably, Patsy Kline was a tremendous.  “Ain’t Misbehavin” brought me to my feet and put a huge smile on my face.  Betty really knows what to do!

Thank you Betty Fox for taking the time last night to talk with us and performing for us.  It was an early Father’s Day present that I will never forget.

The full video interview will be available in a couple of weeks.
