Annual “Giving Back” Event at the Swordfish Grill & Tiki is Postponed

The Pandemic has forced the postponement of one of the most important charity events in our area. For the past 5 years, the “Giving Back” event has been held every September at the Swordfish Grill & Tiki in Cortez, Florida. The event would not be feasible with the current restrictions that are in place.

Robert Slicker, General Manager of the Swordfish, expressed disappointment regarding the postponement. He also said, “The health and safety of the wonderful folks who attend the event are so very important.” And he stressed that there is the possibility that the event could take place in the Fall.

The event is sponsored by The Swordfish Grill & Tiki, The Suncoast Post and Sande Caplin & Associates Website Design. Katrina Cox of the Swordfish, Laura Bell Adams of Sande Caplin & Associates and Sande Caplin work with Bob in the organization of the event.

This year’s recipient charities are Hunger’s End and The Blessing Bags Project. It is the first time that 2 charities would be benefiting from the event.
