3 Suncoast Grapefruit League Teams Unveil 2025 Spring Training Schedules
The Pittsburgh Pirates, Baltimore Orioles, and Atlanta Braves have announced their spring training schedules for the 2025 Grapefruit League season, promising an exciting array of games and events.
Pittsburgh Pirates
The Pittsburgh Pirates’ 2025 spring training will feature 31 games, with 15 of those being held at LECOM Park in Bradenton, Florida. The season kicks off on Saturday, February 22, with an away game against the Baltimore Orioles in Sarasota. The Pirates will return to Bradenton the following day for their home opener against the Minnesota Twins. Baltimore Orioles
The Baltimore Orioles’ spring schedule includes 15 home games at Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota, where they will mark their 16th season of training. Among these games are seven weekend matchups against nine different teams and seven games against the Pirates. The Orioles will host their second annual Spring Breakout game on March 15, featuring top minor league prospects from both the Orioles and the Yankees. Atlanta Braves
In North Port, the Atlanta Braves will be entering their sixth spring training season at CoolToday Park. Their schedule includes 32 exhibition games, with 15 of those being home games. The Braves’ spring training begins on February 22 with an away game against the Minnesota Twins. They will play their first home game on February 23 against the Tampa Bay Rays. The Braves will host 11 major league teams at CoolToday Park, including doubleheaders against the Boston Red Sox, Minnesota Twins, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Tampa Bay Rays. They will also face the Baltimore Orioles, Detroit Tigers, Miami Marlins, New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies, Toronto Blue Jays, and Washington Nationals in single games.
