Thunder By The Bay Is A Huge Success At Their New Home In Lakewood Ranch

It was a bit on the chilly side, but that did not stop thousands of folks to come out to the huge Thunder By The Bay event at their new home in Lakewood Ranch at the Sports Complex on Sunday.  Rain and cold held back the crowd on Saturday, but Sunday was huge!  The event helps to support Suncoast Charities For Children.  Festival Director, Lucy Nicandri had a huge smile throughout the event yesterday as she saw everyone having a great time and enjoying the music.  Hundreds of volunteers helped to make the event very special.

Florida Blues and Music Festival

Sarasota Film Society is proud to announce a new partnership with The Florida Blues and Music Festival for the local musical portion of this year’s event, taking place on October 26th at the Sarasota Fairgrounds. Sarasota Film Society will present performances from Big T & The Tornados at the event, along with Ladies Sing The Blues (LSTB).

LSTB is a local group of female vocalists, founded in 2011 by Steve Arvey. Arvey’s intention was to bring together a group of the area’s most talented female musicians to perform on the same stage, with the goal of raising money for Sarasota-based charities. The ladies have done an incredible job raising awareness and funds for important local causes to date, and continue to entertain and enlighten the community as they use their unique talents and sultry vocals for a good cause.
