Sarasota in 2016- Lots of Changes

With 2016 upon us the word “new” aptly describes the beginning of the year, and the start of the yearly calendar, signifying birthdays and anniversaries that will be celebrated with family and friends.

Can we all just pay it forward?

Hearing about “pay it forward” stories makes the world seem very hopeful.  There’s always a moment where you wish you could get in on something like that, where an idea of being nice is somehow ignited with one person and catches fire with many more.  Being nice to somebody from whom you want nothing.  […]

After shiva, most normal activities can be resumed, but it is the end of sheloshim that marks the completion of religious mourning for a spouse.

While these items […]

My birthday was Wednesday, August 27. The day came and went without much hoopla, I got to hang with my favorite girl Solara, had a nice dinner with Tony, Solara and Sande Caplin at Primo Ristorante and I was relaxed and happy. Lovely phone calls, and well wishes, and I pretty much was fine with […]

When I moved back to my hometown of SRQ I was SINGLE!  Like many people, I joined the various ‘single groups’ that abound on the internet!!!   After I attended a few poorly organized & awkward events, I thought “Hey, I think I’ll host a party myself”!!!  My VERY 1st Party was on my birthday April […]

Sweet 16!

Turning sixteen is a milestone that many teenagers like to celebrate in a huge way and I’m no different. I want it to be an experience that I’ll never forget. After all, I’ve waited sixteen years for this. With help from friends and my parents, I believe my sixteenth birthday celebration will be a very […]

Yard Sale Surprise!

Going to yard sales is one of my favorite things to do when I go visit my grandparents and the rest of my mom’s family in Georgia. I enjoy the excitement of finding a great deal, but most of all, I love the surprises we come across. Yard sales were a great way for me […]
