“Blues Under The Stars With The Stars Of The Blues” Camping with the Blues is back again for its sixth year, and somehow, it just keeps getting better and better! Those who attend know you are in for the greatest weekend of live music!
With a stellar lineup each day, phenomenal music fans, covered stage and pavilion area for seating, large dance area to see the bands up close and personal, permanent bathrooms and showers, picnic tables, nightly jams around the camp fires, family and dog friendly, fantastic vendors, oaks trees galore, over 200 water/electric sites and 80 acres of primitive camping, free parking…so many amenities at this gorgeous venue. This music festival is not just a camping event; camping is optional, and you can purchase single day tickets for Friday, Saturday and Sunday or buy the weekend pass. However, if you do love to camp and need a site with electric and water, 85% of the sites have already been reserved, so make your reservations now if that is the way you want to enjoy this fest. This year’s lineup features:
Tony Holiday Blues Band – Tony Holiday is a vocalist and harp player who is rapidly emerging as a star on the international blues scene. He has been recognized by blues legends like Charlie Musselwhite and Rick Estrin as one of the finest up-and-comers in the game right now and is steadily building his own legend one gig at a time. Speaking of gigs, he plays up to 200 of them a year across the US and has brilliantly recorded his latest album, Porch Sessions, in between them on the actual porches of some of the blue’s best-known musicians.
Angela Easley Band – Angela Easley has the voice of the bayou – sultry, spicy, and full of soul. The band was 2016 Nashville Blues Challenge Finalist for their album “Hold On”. Each time she walks on the stage, her audiences are transported to a steamy cypress grove on a Mississippi summer night.
Bruce Katz Band – Bruce Katz, renowned Hammond B-3 organist/keyboardist, – five time nominee for the Blues Music Award “Pinetop Perkins Piano Player of the Year” (2008, 2009, 2010, 2015, 2019) and
nominated for Living Blues “Outstanding Musician (Piano)” 2015; whose stellar career includes stints with, among others, Gregg Allman, The Allman Bros., Ronnie Earl, and John Hammond.
Mark Telesca Band – Mark Telesca is an American songwriter/singer/guitarist and bassist. He studied music at Florida Atlantic University and currently lives in West Palm Beach, Florida. His “HOOK” oriented songwriting style and storytelling lyrics along with his expressive style of bass playing and powerful lead vocal is capturing the attention of music lovers everywhere. Mark is very proud to be endorsed by Delaney Guitars. Delaney Guitars has built the Mark Telesca Bass Model. They are calling the bass the “TRADITION” model based on its traditional looks, feel and sound.
Joyann Parker – Joyann Parker brings a full range of talent to her performances as an accomplished singer, pianist, guitarist and songwriter. She has performed for thousands at major venues and festivals across the country, frequently sells out the most prestigious clubs in the Twin Cities and garnered national and international attention for her newest record, “Hard to Love.” Joyann is a 2018 Blues Blast Magazine Music Award nominee and Heritage guitars artist. She has opened for Grammy winner Robert Cray, taken the stage for Grammy nominee Elvin Bishop in a pinch, represented Minnesota at the 2015 International Blues Competition in Memphis, TN and won the award for 2016’s Best Self-Produced CD from the Minnesota Blues Society.
Dany Franchi Band – Dany Franchi is one of the biggest and most promising blues musicians of his generation – his Fender Stratocaster and his talent will make him stand out in the Blues scene, respecting tradition while incessantly finding his original and unique sound.

Regina Bonelli – Regina Bonelli is a powerhouse singer with sensitivity and one to be reckoned with; her band delivers an authentic, gritty blues and soul sound. Regina’s scorching vocals, songwriting and keyboard playing are garnering worldwide attention.

Murray Kinsley & Wicked Grin – Murray Kinsley and Wicked Grin have been rockin’ festivals and clubs throughout Canada and the United States with their distinctive hard-driving, in-your-face performances: full-tilt blues with a groove that just won’t quit.
The band won the 2014 Maple Blues Award for Best New Group and their two latest CDs – “Shame One Me” and “Stormy Water” – were each named Blues Rock Disc of the Year by the Blues Underground Network. In 2015, bassist Leigh-Anne Stanton received the Maple Blues Award for Bassist of the Year.
Stacy Brooks Band – Stacy was dubbed DC’s Queen of the Blues by her musical peers in Washington DC when she decided to dive deep into the Blues. Stacy works very hard to keep that opinion alive and well. Washington DC is not known as a blues town but ask anyone in Chicago, Memphis, Atlanta and Europe when coming to DC, you must see Stacy Brooks. The Stacy Brooks band won the DC Blues Battle of the Bands and competed in the 30th Annual International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN January 2014.
Peter V Blues Train – The hard-working, hard-driving contemporary blues band, Peter V Blues Train, has been tearing up the airwaves and the touring routes since their formation in 2013. The veterans of the NY and NJ scene hit us once again with their remarkable second album of 2018 “Shaken But Not Deterred.” The nine original tracks and four fresh covers recorded by Joseph DeMaio at Shorefire Recording Studios, are a sophisticated blend of modern blues with jazz and funk overtones that prove the band means business.
Lauren Mitchell Band – Tampa Bay area blues and soul vocalist favorite Lauren Mitchell is the real deal. Her latest record, “Desire” is earning rave reviews on her dynamic voice and all pro band. Lauren has been nominated for two Blues Blast Music Awards – Soul Blues Album and the Sean Costello Rising Star Award.

Sugar & Spice Revue – Sugar and Spice Revue is an exciting musical experience and ultimate party band from Tampa, Florida. Sisters Myra “Sugar” Glover and Velma “Spice” Glover front the band with powerful, gospel-tinged, blues drenched vocals. Since their 2nd place win in the finals at the 2017 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN, Sugar and Spice have been Bluesin’, Rockin’, and Funkin’ it up on some of the hottest Festivals and Stages in Florida.
Alex Lopez Xpress Band – Alex Lopez is an acclaimed guitarist, nationally recognized songwriter and emerging performing artist quickly taking the blues/rock scene by storm. Alex has a sound that’s hard to categorize except to say it’s an infectious form of blues with a rocking edge that gets a hold of you with memorable melodies, great stories and a moving groove. The Xpress is Alex’s touring band comprised of tenured talented musicians that deliver rocking blues, strong grooves and energetic shows for top tier performances.
Mick Kolassa & Taylor Made Blues Band – The Taylor Made Blues Band brings together four talented and respected blues artists whose talent and love for the blues is infectious. The band was formed when singer “Michissippi” Mick Kolassa decided to start touring on a regular basis. Playing a combination of Mick’s original songs, cherished blues classics and some surprising blues “uncovers” of songs not traditionally thought of as blues, the Taylor Made Blues Band keeps audiences enthralled by fitting the set to the fans to assure their enjoyment of the show. They are lively and animated in their performances, demanding the attention of the audience and assuring that the fans enjoy themselves.
Dwayne Burnside – Guitarist, singer, and songwriter Duwayne Burnside is one of 14 children born to legendary North Mississippi musician R.L. Burnside. He has been a frequent performer with the North Mississippi Allstars since the early 1990s. In 2006 Burnside was a WC Handy nominee for Best Debut Artist for his album “Under Pressure”.
