Synia Carroll, A Crazy Little Thing Called Love
There was a special pre-Valentine’s show last night at the John C. Court Cabaret at the Florida Studio Theatre. Synia Carroll and the Billy Marcus Trio put on quite a memorable performance.
It was my first time at the Florida Studio Theatre, but not the first time hearing Synia. I heard her perform several times before in Sarasota and at a charity event at the Swordfish Grill and Tiki in Cortez
Synia’s performance was breathtaking. Surrounding herself with seasoned players like Billy Marcus on keyboards, Don Mopsick on standup bass and Stephen Bucholtz on drums certainly put a lot of love in the air! The audience participation when she sang “Them There Eyes” was awesome.
Synia sang 2 sets with a couple of encores. Some of the songs in her performance were Man That Got Away, What A Beautiful Thing Called Love, My Baby, My Funny Valentine and her last song, Here’s To Life.
Synia can be seen performing in the Sarasota area. It’s certainly a treat and well worth coming to see her sing. For more information, visit her website www.syniacarroll.com
