Synchronicity Festivals Presents Southern Rock and Bar-B-Q Festival

| Sande Caplin |

This brand-new festival in the area is going to rock your socks off! Synchronicity Festivals is introducing their first annual festival to our area called “Southern Rock and Bar-B-Q” on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the Masonic Park and Youth Camp, located on the border of Hillsborough and Manatee Counties on US Hwy 301.

Let me tell you what this festival has to offer our concert goers. First and foremost, the lineup for Southern Rock and Bar-B-Q is like no other outdoor festival in this area. Check out our website www.synchronicityfestivals.com to see the full lineup and performance times. The music is definitely the centerpiece of our event, but there is so much more to enjoy on February 23, 2019. Unlike many festivals in this area, this one is easy to get to. The Park is located right on US Hwy 301 in Wimauma. There is plenty of parking once you are on the property and the best part about that, is it’s Free and secure! Volunteers from the Shriner Provost Guard will be helping you park and keeping your car secure.

The Masonic Park and Youth Camp is just that. A beautiful 200+ acre natural park that invites several youth groups to camp, fish, hike, horseback ride and canoe on their grounds. The amenities that the park offers are endless. The Park also provides a home for over 120 RV campers from all over the country. Although the RV ‘residents’ have completely booked all the hook up spots, there is all kinds of room to park your RV if you are equipped with a generator. Plenty of bath houses and out buildings to enjoy, along with endless, private areas for primitive campers. We encourage our concert goers to spend the night and enjoy the great outdoors. Don’t have a tent or camping gear? No problem! Contact “Gotta Love Glamping” https://goglamping.checkfront.com/reserve/?tid=Synchronicity
and they will set you up with everything you need for a reasonable cost. To make your stay even more comfortable, camping is Free on the night of the show! Yes! Just show us your concert armband and you can choose any campsite you and your group want to spend the night. There are also plenty of electric outlets scattered around the park to charge your devices and a WiFi tower close by to connect to.

Hungry? The indoor dining hall sits adjacent to a 4-acre lake which is right by the concert area and offers tables and chairs to sit, relax and enjoy the homemade Bar-B-Q that the Masons will be cooking up. Several lodges will be competing for the Best Bar-B-Q in the area and all of you can be the judges! Not crazy about bar-b-q? No worries – there will be food vending trucks, snacks, crafts and activities as well. Now, what goes great with bar-b-q and festival food? Beer! Yep – plenty of beer and possibly wine (we are working on a supplier right now). The hall also offers a full stage where we are inviting some of our vendors to give product demonstrations.

Southern Rock & BBQSouthern Rock and Bar-B-Q Festival is a family festival, so children are welcome. All children 12 and under are Free! (as long as they are with an adult with an armband). We want the kids to enjoy the day too. While “mom and dad” are enjoying the music, the kids will have plenty to make their day fun. There will be canoeing, hiking, horseback riding, playground areas and hay rides hosted by the Park and Camp Osprey. We are inviting several vendors to join our team that focus on children activities and learning programs. And for those of you with ‘fur’ children, the Park is pet friendly, so all your ‘children’ are welcome. All we ask is that you take care of your pet, keep them with you at all times on a leash and please clean up after them.

Our VIP tent will be amazing. There are only 100 VIP tickets for sale, and about half are already sold. These 100 people will be mingling with all of our sponsors and musical artists throughout the day. All food, soft drinks and beer are complimentary and there will be chairs and tables to relax and enjoy the show. The VIP tent will be situated so viewing the concert will be premium, but also not block the rest of our concert goers. Dedicated rest rooms and hand washing stations will also be available for our special VIP patrons.

The success of this festival lies in your hands. Together we can enjoy a ‘perfect time of year’ for a festival with amazing Southern Rock music, a day of fun for the family and help several charities at the same time; all right here in your ‘back yard’. Tickets can be purchased online at www.synchronicityfestivals.com. General Admission tickets are $37 ($50 cash at the gate day of show), VIP tickets are $100 (limited to 100 people) and Children 12 and under are free. Parking and primitive camping are included in the price of your ticket. We are looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones.
