Super Bowl Music Fest Kicks Off the Big Weekend in Atlanta
This year the 53rd annual Super Bowl is happening in the Big Peach – Atlanta – on February 3rd! For 3 days leading up to the game from January 31st – February 2, Bud Light and On Location Experiences is hosting the debut of the Super Bowl Music Fest at the 21,000 seat State Farm Arena (formerly Phillips Arena). Situated in downtown Atlanta near the Mercedes Benz Stadium where the game will take place, it is a perfect venue to host the first ever Superbowl Music Fest.
Opening the festival on Thursday night are rappers Ludacris, Migos, Lil Jon, Lil Yachty, Lil Baby and Metro Boomin. Ludacris grew up in Atlanta since the age of 9 and studied at Georgia State University. He started his rapping career in Atlanta and has since become an actor as well as a respected member of the hip-hop community. Lil Jon is born and raised in the ATL and has been a successful artist and producer. Lil Yachty and Lil Baby, also from Hotlanta, are bringing popular rap hits. Metro is a well-known producer who has worked with Savage 21, Post Malone and Drake. The right way to fire it up for the first night of the festival! They are making their night of music about the city they love and live in, paying tribute to where they got their musical roots.
Friday night brings new and classic rock to the fest. America’s greatest rock band, Aerosmith, combines forces with the popular rapper/rocker Post Malone. Malone has made a name for himself in the last few years with his combination of country, rap, rock and hip hop meshed into his sound. Malone and Aerosmith have worked together previously on the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards with Post performing his megahit “Rockstar”, also featuring rapper 21 Savage, and then joining the bad boys of Boston on Aero classics “Dream On” and “Toys in the Attic” with Malone on guitar. Friday is gonna be a great night to rock!
On Saturday night, Super Bowl Eve, Bruno Mars and his posse The Hooligans along with hip-hop princess Cardi B will be closing the festival on the final night before the big game. Bruno has played the Super Bowl Halftime show twice, so he is certainly a pro to the festivities of Super Bowl weekend. Bruno has sold over 130 million records worldwide and has 11 Grammy Awards. He has an array of top ten hits to choose from to perform including “24K Magic”, “Grenade”, “Locked out of Heaven”, and 2012’s ballad “When I was your Man”. Of course, there is his monster hit “Finesse” featuring Cardi B. Hopefully they will team up for an incredible live performance together to cap off the fest! Anything can happen with Bruno and Cardi B.!
Atlanta is historically known for being a music mecca and the Super Bowl Music Fest is just the way to honor that! Bringing some of the world’s greatest musical entertainers together for the masses coming to Atlanta for the big game is a touchdown for everybody!
