Last night something very special happened at the Flying Dog Café in Bradenton, Florida. The Savannah Brady Band and Twinkle with Rock Soul Radio performed. It was a 4 ½ hour show that did not end until midnight.
“All you need is love” is the only way to describe what took place. You could feel it. I am going to miss some names and I apologize in advance but it was a love fest. The event was a complete “sell out! Leslie SRQ and Vicky Sullivan took lot’s of photos and videos. Hugs to both of you. My dear pals Don McKeon and Joni Luckenbill, Julie Brooks, Mark Kracker, my friend and business partner James Newton and his lovely wife Anna, Nina Zummo, Karla Pirillo, the crew from the SunCoast Blood Bank and Twinkle’s entire fan club from all over the area who have never been to the Flying Dog before all had a fabulous time. Right, Ron Furner? The highlight of my night was Kate and Steve Mansfield bringing 8 of my buddies from the “old days!” Oh, Captain Judi, Kelly Strang, The Brady’s, Tami and Donnie John, Daniel Likins (my main man!)…. I could go on and on. The boys of “Rock Soul Radio,” Tony, Troy, and Lenny…..BRAVO!

Bob Slicker and his new bride of “1”day, Julie, capped off the night showing up stylishly late to celebrate…and boy did we celebrate. Love you, Bob & Julie. (I am going to hang out with you guys and relax on Sunday at the Swordfish Grill & Tiki) Let’s not forget the ladies and gents…..the awesome servers and bartenders at the “Dog,” Amber, Melissa, Julie, Tami and Justine. You are the best and I love all of you. And “Yo Vinnie,” Vinnie Tricarico- you are the backbone of the Dog!
I commend my very best friend, Bruce Famiglio for his huge support for “live music” and for having the guts not to listen to the naysayers and have a “cover charge” that goes to the band to support them, their families, and the local economy. Last night, every dollar that came in at the door went to Twinkle and the boys.

Savannah Brady, you made some new fans last night. When Bruce and I first met you at the “old Dog” when you were 13 years old we knew you were special. Now as an “old” sweet 16, you brought tears to my eyes last night. You are awesome.
Finally, a couple of words about one very special, intelligent and talented lady, Twinkle. “Thank you” from the bottom of my heart for being who you are and what you do for this community. You’re always the first in line to perform at a charity event. You are a good soul and the way you light up a room when you perform warms my heart. I consider it an honor and a blessing to call you my pal and part of my team. (Now, if you would only return my calls and texts in a timely manner!) Lol. ….above photo by Leslie SRQ
So, let’s do it again? What do you think Twinkle?
Oh, to the lady in white……I got the 2 brass rings last night. There is nothing that can take the smile off of my face.
