Phoenix 5 Hits the Road to Headline Long-Running North Carolina Festival
Florida-based Phoenix 5 is preparing to take another major step beyond Florida’s Gulf Coast, with the popular soul, funk and reggae band scheduled to headline the MNO Festival in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, on Saturday, September 26, 2026.
Phoenix 5 is scheduled to take the stage at 8 p.m., according to the band’s official performance calendar. Additional festival information, including ticket prices and the complete entertainment lineup, has not yet been publicly announced.
The North Carolina booking follows the band’s recent out-of-state appearance in Alabama alongside Yaleo – The Ultimate Santana Experience, another touring production associated with the Phoenix 5 musical family.
What began as an impromptu Phoenix 5 performance during the Alabama trip helped generate additional interest in bringing the Sarasota-area band to audiences outside Florida.
“It’s official,” the band announced on social media. “Since our impromptu Phoenix 5 show in Alabama, along with our Yaleo – The Ultimate Santana Experience performance out of state, we have been gaining more and more interest in bringing P5 on the road—so here we go!”
The band described the MNO Festival as an event with approximately 50 years of history. Previous editions have been held in Rocky Mount and have featured multiple bands performing throughout the day. Phoenix 5’s appearance is listed for the MNO Festival in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, although complete information about the 2026 edition remains forthcoming.
A Gulf Coast Favorite Builds a Wider Audience
Phoenix 5 has earned a loyal following throughout Sarasota, Bradenton and the greater Tampa Bay region with an energetic mixture of funk, soul, reggae, R&B and dance favorites.
The group is known for creating an interactive show that encourages audiences to get out of their seats and become part of the experience. Its repertoire crosses generations, blending recognizable favorites, deep grooves and high-energy performances designed for festivals, concert venues and community celebrations.
The band continues to maintain a busy schedule across Florida, with performances at clubs, restaurants, outdoor concert series and special events. Upcoming appearances listed on its calendar include shows in Bradenton, Sarasota, Seminole, Englewood, Orlando and Tampa before the musicians travel to North Carolina.

Phoenix 5 and Yaleo Expand Their Reach
The growing interest follows Phoenix 5’s involvement with Yaleo – The Ultimate Santana Experience, a national touring tribute production celebrating the music, rhythms and guitar-driven sound associated with Carlos Santana.
Yaleo presents Santana’s music as a complete concert experience, combining Latin rock, percussion, musicianship and audience interaction. The production’s Alabama performances helped introduce the musicians to audiences outside their established Florida following.
That exposure appears to be opening additional doors for Phoenix 5 as a separate touring act.
