East side Detroit native Doug Deming has garnered widespread attention for his deft guitar work and memorable songwriting. With a nod to the likes of T-Bone Walker and Charlie Christian, Doug leaves his own mark playing straight up blues on the solid body Fender guitar. Since playing the local Detroit scene beginning in the early 90’s, Doug has spent many years touring and recording with top blues artists, including Fabulous Thunderbirds front man Kim Wilson, legendary Louisiana swamp blues man Lazy Lester, Texas’ Gary Primich, Chicago greats Johnny “Yard Dog” Jones and A.C. Reed, as well as Detroit’s own Queen of the Blues, Alberta Adams. Leading his band, The Jewel Tones, Doug continues to bring noteworthy traditional and original roots music to his audiences.

Along with toe-tapping, authentic blues, Chef Paul Mattison has created a delicious Brunch Menu to complete the Blues Brunch experience. Items include Stuffed French Toast with fresh berries and cinnamon whipped cream, Mediterranean Frittata, Smokehouse Omelet and a Steak and Eggs Bowl just to name a few. Brunch drink options include bottomless Mimosas made with fresh orange juice and Mattison’s Signature Bloody Mary’s.

Mattison’s Monthly Blues Brunch Sundays take place every 4th Sunday of the month and are in conjunction with the Bradenton Blues Fest, hosted by Realize Bradenton. The annual Bradenton Blues Brunch takes place December 4th, 11am-2pm as part of the Bradenton Blues Festival Weekend.
