‘Kids Rock’ Concert by Twinkle and RockSoulRadio at Stottlemyers’ in Sarasota
It’s no secret that I love children. Whether they’re mine or someone else’s makes no difference to me, though I have become that grandparent that will whip out pictures in a second to show you my grandkids.
I believe we should love all the kids who cross our path. Rock Soul Radio also loves kids, and it seems that the feeling is mutual. Every time we play at Stottlemyer’s, or anywhere for that matter, the young people are the first to dance and break the ice. They teach us all to dance like no one’s watching, free and bright. Seeing and hearing the world from a brand new perspective where everything is awesome. I can’t get enough.
One little boy, Zachary, always brings his blue guitar and rocks out in front of the guys all night. After the show, all of these kids come to hug the guys in the band and get their pictures taken on the stage, etc. It feels so good for all of us to see the new generation loving Rock and Roll, that I had the idea to put on a Rock show for kids of all ages, every year, right before school starts.
We’ll make it a big deal and they’ll get a last hoorah just for them. So, after checking with all necessary persons; the band, Dean Lambert and Terry Stottlemyer, who also is a part of that wonderful organization ‘Mothers Helping Mothers’, we are doing the First Annual ‘Kids Rock’ Concert at Stottlemyer’s Smokehouse (19 E Road Sarasota, FL 34240) on August 18th, 2019 at 4:00 pm until 7:00. Proceeds will benefit Mothers Helping Mothers and there will be a silent auction. Phil Phun will M.C. and Twinkle and Rock Soul Radio will throw it down. This is a KID FRIENDLY EVENT, and the food at Stottlemyer’s is awesome, so bring your appetites.
Just in time for back to school. Bring everyone, it’s gonna be a spectacular day for all of us. More info on event here
